Solography: Time in a Can
Sat, Nov 11 & 18 | 10:00-11:00 am
This two week class will be educational, scientific, artistic, and fun! Solagraphy is the art of capturing the movement of the sun across the sky over a period of time using a camera obscura or pinhole camera. At their first meeting, students will make their own pinhole camera and outfit it with special light sensitive paper so that it can capture the movement of the sun during the coming week. At their second meeting, students will learn how then transfer their image onto the computer so it can be edited and cleaned up. Best of all, participants will be sent home with their camera and a second piece of light sensitive paper so that they can take a solargraph at home!
