Intermediate Painting & Drawing - CANCELLED
Saturdays, September 23-October 14, 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Join local artist Nana Ekow and explore how adding color to your work can add energy, vibrancy and movement. Realistic drawing, creative expression, and concepts like observation and technique are emphasized. Return students are encouraged as each session will continue to build skills developed in past class sessions.

Space is the Place
Tuesdays, September 5-26, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
If you love space, you'll love this class! We'll meet in the Dome Planetarium every week for a unique hands-on experience where students will get to fly through space using an Xbox controller, learn about awesome missions to other planets, and much more!

Intro to Anthropology
Ages 8-11: Thursdays, September 7-28, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
What is the difference between a ziggurat and a pyramid? Is the word "no" universal in all languages? What can be learned from a skeleton? Are old dishes really that important? These are a few of the questions that we will explore this session when learning about the field of Anthropology. Humans are a diverse and strange species, and in this course, we will start to unlock some of their secrets!

Intro to Forensic Anthropology
Ages 8-11: Thursdays, October 5-26, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Ages 12-17: Thursdays, October 5-26, 11:00 a.m.-Noon

In this hands-on course, we will focus on the forensic applications of anthropology and the human skeleton. We will begin with bone identification and laying out the skeleton, and we will work toward building a biological profile of the skeleton. Throughout the course, we will also discuss current events in forensic anthropology.

Spooky Tangles
Fridays, October 7-28, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Join us for this unique Zentangle© class and create some spooky drawings perfect for Halloween! Zentangle© combines the art of meditation with the beauty of free-form drawing. No previous artistic ability is needed to create these unique patterns, called tangles. Once practiced, this technique can be used to decorate and accentuate a variety of things, while fostering a clear, focused and relaxed mind. Materials fee of $8 is due to the instructor on the first day of class.
