Senior Mornings

Join us for Senior Morning! Each program features coffee, light snacks, and a 30-minute presentation. This program is free to senior citizens. Doors open at 9:45 am, coffee and snacks at 10 am, programs begins at 10:30 am. These educational events take place every other month on Wednesday morning and cover topics from Museum exhibits to educational movies.This program is free of charge. Registration is not necessary, but groups are encouraged to call ahead so that we will be prepared. Please call Ann Schmitt at 309.863.3028.

Wed Jan 10 | The Art and Inspirations of our New Curator: Bill Conger 

This month will be hosted by Bill Conger, our new Curator. An artist himself, Conger will show some of his own pieces and discuss others which led him to become a curator. After the presentation, guests are invited to explore the exhibits and planetarium. 

Wed Jan 10 | Celebrate Illinois: 200 Years in the Land of Lincoln

This month we will be presenting on our new exhibition, Celebrate Illinois: 200 Years in the Land of Lincoln. This exhibit was curated at the museum by Assistant Curator of History, Lottie Phillips. We will discuss what you will see when exploring the exhibit. Following the discussion, guests will be invited to explore the exhibit.
