Robots on the Moon

Sat, Dec 7 | 6 pm

It’s been a long, long time since people landed on the Moon. But did you know that 4 robotic spacecraft landed on our celestial neighbor just this past year (including 2 on the far side), and another crash-landed? We’ll learn about the first robots to explore the Moon before Neil and Buzz got there, the current robots exploring the Moon right now, and plans for future robots to explore the Moon in the coming years. If the weather cooperates, we’ll also take a look at the Moon through our pretty big telescope. Light refreshments will be provided.
