The museum has moved to the riverfront, and so has our Interplanetary 5K!
This is a family oriented event featuring a competitive 5K race, a 1 mile fitness walk, and a ½ mile kids’ fun run. Walk or run through portions of the world’s largest model of the solar system, an experience that is out of this world! Beginning at 9 a.m., participants will follow the routes of interplanetary explorers through the solar system from the Earth to Mercury, Venus and Mars. The total distance for the 5K runners will be equal to the distance from Earth to Jupiter. It’s athletic, it’s educational, it’s fun ...for the whole family!
Online registration is no longer available. You can still register in person at packet pickup on Friday March 22 from noon to 5 pm at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and on race day from 7:30 am to 8:30 am (see brochure PDF below for registration fees on race day).
