All supplies provided for children's classes unless otherwise noted. All classes require a minimum number of participants to run. Pre-registration is required.

Intermediate Painting & Drawing
Saturdays, May 6-27, 10:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
Join local artist Nana Ekow and explore how adding color to your work can add energy, vibrancy and movement. Realistic drawing, creative expression, and concepts like observation and technique are emphasized. Return students are encouraged as each session will continue to build skills developed in past class sessions.

Space is the Place
Thursdays, April 6-27, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
If you love space, you'll love this class! We'll meet in the Dome Planetarium every week for a unique hands-on experience where students will get to fly through space using an Xbox controller, learn about awesome missions to other planets, and much more!

DNA Discovery
Homeschool Session: Wednesdays, May 3-24, 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Starting with the basic structure of the cell, this four week class looks at DNA and its role in life. Session content includes: the basic function and process of DNA and the historic discovery of this molecule. Activities include building DNA and protein models, extracting DNA from fruit, experimenting with gel electrophoresis, and visiting Genome: Unlocking Life’s Code.

3D Printing Challenge - SOLD OUT!
Wednesdays, May 3-24, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Can you design and build solutions for the engineering challenge? Print your design out and put it to the test! In this 4-week workshop you will learn the basics of computer-aided design using TinkerCAD. No experience required! Each week, participants will be able to take home the previous week’s build.

Astronomy 101
Fridays, May 5-26, 1:15-2:15 p.m.

Calling all space geeks: if you’ve ever wanted to learn more about the universe, this is your chance! Join us as we embark on an investigation of our Solar System! Students will learn about our solar system, including the outermost dwarf planets with the help of our state-of-the-art star projector. The final class will focus on learning about exoplanets and the upcoming total solar eclipse! Hands on activities and demonstrations will accompany the lessons. All materials provided.
