For 250 years, transportation has driven the American story. From hand-carved canoes and horse-drawn covered wagons to railroads, automobiles, riverboats, airplanes, and even spacecraft that carried humanity to the Moon, each new innovation has transformed how people travel, work, connect, and explore.

The exhibition features more than 50 objects from the Peoria Riverfront Museum's collection alongside loans from private collectors and distinguished partner institutions, including Wheels O'Time Museum, Historic Nauvoo, the Peoria Historical Society, and the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum.
