ACCESS FOR ALL DAYS AT THE PEORIA RIVERFRONT MUSEUM

Thanks to the generous support of Art Bridges Foundation, every second Sunday at the Peoria Riverfront Museum is FREE to the public!

Join us Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. as we celebrate Access for All day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum.

This Access for All day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, enjoy make and take art activities, planetarium shows, films, guided tours, and so much more to give you a taste of what is to come in this new year!

The 2026 Achievement Passport Program will begin on February 8, 2026.

Schedule:

12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Paper Quilting | Lobby Create a Paper Quilt inspired by the beautiful quilts featured in “Joyful Resistance.”

Dome Planetarium:

1 p.m. - Spark: The Universe in Us
Explore our deep connection not just to Earth, but to stars millions of light-years away—and billions of years in the past. (recorded show, 30 min)
2 p.m. - The Sky Tonight (live)Hop through constellations, learn cool star names, and discover where the moon and planets will be in the sky tonight in this live presentation. (live show, 30 min)
3 p.m. – Ocean WorldsJoin us as we turn the planetarium into a pretend spaceship (the Planetarium Falcon), and explore potential ocean worlds Europa and Enceladus up-close and in detail, and then try to go anywhere else anyone wants to go... (live show, 30 min)
4 p.m. - Living Worlds

Tours:

Joyful Resistance | 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Join assistant curator and Director of Community Engagement Everley Davis for a tour of the newest exhibition Joyful Resistance .

Backyard Wilderness | Giant Screen Theater | 12:30 p.m.

A young girl discovers the wonders of nature through the flora and fauna around her, telling the story of people's disconnect from nature.
