Science Treasure Hunt

Dome Science Treasure Hunt Wb

The Science Treasure Hunt is a long-standing program that encourages families to get out and explore science-related sites in the Peoria area! We are updating the program this year to move away from the quiz style website. The Science Treasure Hunt will now be part of the Peoria Riverfront Museum’s Achievement Passport program! This program is free - anyone can pick up an Achievement passport at the museum's ticket desk.

To earn your Science Treasure Hunt points, simply visit one of the science sites listed below between the months of April and October in 2026. Take a picture of the passport holder learning something new, and show the picture to a front desk staff member next time you visit the Peoria Riverfront Museum. For each site you visit, you will earn 25 points in your Achievement Passport.

Each participant who visits five or more science sites will be invited to a science party at the museum at the end of the year, where there will be fabulous prizes and books as we have done every year.

You can learn more about the Achievement Passport here

The achievement passport has extra prizes and fun beyond the Science Treasure Hunt!
