ACCESS FOR ALL DAYS AT THE PEORIA RIVERFRONT MUSEUM

Thanks to the generous support of Art Bridges Foundation, every second Sunday at the Peoria Riverfront Museum is FREE to the public!

Join us Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. as we celebrate Access for All day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum with the Peoria Public School Distinct, as we host Multicultural Day at the museum!

This Access for All day at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, enjoy make and take art activities, planetarium shows, films, guided tours, and so much more!
         

Schedule: 

Activities 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

  • Photo Scavenger Hunt | 50 Points
    Explore the Peoria Riverfront Museum through the lens of your camera! Get your points at the Ticket Desk!
  • WORK your brain with a Global Greetings Matching Game | Lobby | 50 Points
    Peoria Public Library will be on hand to help you work through the flags and the greetings of our neighbors. We will also have prizes and treats to share!

Tours - Tours start outside of the designated gallery.

  • Exquisite Creatures | 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. | 100 Points
    Join one of the gallery guides for a spotlight tour of Exquisite Creatures .

           
Dome Planetarium
Each Dome Planetarium show is worth 10 Points.      

  • 11:30 a.m. - One World, One Sky with Big Bird and Elmo
    Learn about the Sun, Moon, North Star, and Big Dipper with Big Bird and Elmo from Sesame Street.
           
  • 1 p.m. - Spark: The Universe in Us!
    Explore our deep connection not just to Earth, but to stars millions of light-years away—and billions of years in the past. (recorded show, 30 min)
       
  • 2 p.m. - The Sky Tonight
    Hop through constellations, learn cool star names, and discover where the moon and planets will be in the sky tonight in this live presentation. (live show, 30 min)
           
  • 3 p.m. – America in Space
    See USA's "birthday star", the most famous American astronomer and telescope, the Moon landings and more in this live show celebrating USA's 250th "birthday." (live show, 30 min)
             
  • 4 p.m. - Dawn of the Space Age
    A history of the space age beginning with the launch of Sputnik in 1957. (recorded show, 40 min)
