Derek Schryer serves as chairman of the Peoria Riverfront Museum Board of Directors. His involvement with the museum spans more than a decade: he served on the Peoria Riverfront Museum Foundation Board from 2013 through 2019, including as its chair from 2018 to 2019, before joining the Museum Board in 2019. He has served on the board's executive committee since 2024, most recently as vice chair.
Derek is a partner at Davis & Campbell L.L.C., where his practice concentrates in estate planning and business succession. He counsels individuals, families, and business owners on strategies to preserve and transfer wealth across generations and to plan for the successful transition of closely held businesses.
Derek lives in Washington with his wife, Sarah, and their two daughters. A lifelong lover of museums, he is passionate about assisting in the achievement of the Peoria Riverfront Museum's mission to inspire lifelong learning for all.
