Anne Marie Miller | Vice President of Development for the Peoria Riverfront Museum
As leader of the Development team, some of Anne Marie’s principal duties include managing donor relationships for the Peoria Riverfront Museum, including the Visionary Society, and all gifts and sponsorships given to the museum.
Anne Marie has a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Bradley University and a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from the University of Illinois.
Anne Marie, a native Peorian, first began her career at the Lakeview Museum of Arts and Sciences, beginning in May, 2006. She then transferred to the Peoria Riverfront Museum, and was an integral part of its development, building, and the museum transition overall. Anne Marie herself has transitioned successfully from intern to Vice President of Development, with a couple of stops in between, in her time with the museum. She has been the Vice President of Development at the Peoria Riverfront Museum for nearly ten years as of August, 2023.
Some of her major achievements in her tenure include being a part of the creation and construction of the Peoria Riverfront Museum at its inauguration 11 years ago. She is most proud of bringing the Titanic exhibition to Peoria in 2016, and along with President and CEO John Morris, growing the Visionary Society to a base of charitable donations over 400 members strong.
Anne Marie was a recipient of Peoria’s “40 Leaders Under Forty” award, during the 2020 award season. She has been on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, central Illinois chapter, and remains a part of the organization today. She is also a member of Women in Leadership of central Illinois.
Anne Marie is the mother to two beautiful children, Parker and Evelyn, and has been married to her husband, Mark for 9 years.
She enjoys running, biking, and other outdoor activities.
