Peoria’s Juneteenth Fest
Sew Many Lives: A Patchwork Perspective Project

Sat, Jun 19 | 11 am-4:30 pm

Carver Center, John Gwynn Park

Celebrate Juneteenth with us at Peoria’s Juneteenth Fest. The celebration is from 11 am-6 pm, activity tables are available from 11 am-4:30 pm. Juneteenth is a holiday that brings communities together to commemorate the liberation of enslaved people and uplift African American heritage.

Visit our table at this family friendly event to participate in Sew Many Lives: A Patchwork Perspective, our community quilt project to be featured alongside an upcoming exhibition, Uncovered: The Ken Burns Collection ! All ages are invited to design, create, and tell their story of community through fabric.

Have extra fabric from projects and not sure what to do with it? Our Education Department is accepting fabric donations for this project at the front desk until Friday, June 18 at 5 pm. If you have any unwanted fabric larger than 4x4, we'd love to utilize it for this special project. Thank you in advance.
