A Letter from Honorary Chair Michele A. Couri, MD
In December, Peoria will make history, and we invite you to be a vital part of this incredible opportunity offering help and hope to those most in need.
On August 4, 2020, the entire world witnessed the devastating explosion in the port of Beirut that caused unfathomable loss of life, permanent injuries and widespread homelessness to the Lebanese people. As a proud and humble Peorian and Lebanese American, I am honored to share an event that will change lives through the healing power of the arts.
Mark your calendars now for the weekend of December 18 and 19, when the Peoria Riverfront Museum and the Scottish Rite Cathedral in partnership with the Lebanese American University bring art and music to Peoria like it has never seen before. An art exhibition and auction of the leading contemporary artists of Lebanon along with a piano concert on Peoria’s own grand concert Steinway piano by the distinguished Dr. Tony Karam, a Lebanese American physician and pianist, will provide an opportunity to fund medical relief efforts in Lebanon.
We need your help. You know the importance of art and music in our lives, but never has it been more needed to make a difference to those suffering. Will you join us in this effort by being one of our charitable Sponsors or by making a generous donation of $250, $500, $1,000 or whatever you can afford today?
All funds raised will support the vital services that the Lebanese American University Medical Center Hospital and Medical School are providing to the community during this very dark time in Lebanon.
Please help us with this incredibly important humanitarian event. Your support will never be forgotten!
