The Membership and Special Events Coordinator is a highly visible position. Under the direction of the VP of Development, the Membership and Special Events Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning and executing the museum membership program for basic and entry level gemstone membership categories (member cultivation, acknowledgements, membership renewal process, meeting membership goals, tracking revenue and coordination of membership promotions, sales and activities). Another key function is to facilitate multiple forms of communication between the Museum and our members. This position is also responsible for planning and executing Museum fundraising events. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 3+ years database management experience, strong communication skills, entrepreneurial attitude, organizational and time management skills.
The Art Director & Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, directing and implementing the Museum’s visual/graphic design strategy, from concept to execution, for a wide range of print and digital media across multiple platforms, in an effective and timely manner. This position maintains the Museum’s branding standards and creates, based on these standards, design templates for promotional (digital and print) and email campaigns, as well as high-quality promotional art for exhibitions and events. This position also provides general marketing and communications support, including marketing content, photography & video direction & assistance, website updates, social media updates, and marketing research as needed, working closely with the VP of Marketing & Communications and other Museum staff, in a fast-paced, community-oriented multidisciplinary educational environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, 2+ years professional graphic design/art direction experience, demonstrated high quality design work, strong conceptual and strategic thinking skills, strong communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
