DART Asteroid Impact Watch Party

Monday, September 26 | 5 PM

Free and open to the public

Watch live coverage in the Dome as NASA tests technology for planetary defense! NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) will deliberately crash a small spacecraft into a moon of an asteroid on Monday, to test our ability to change the trajectory of an object in space. Coverage of the impact will be livestreamed on NASA TV. Watch on NASA.gov or join us in the planetarium to watch the event, where space educators Renae and Nick will be on hand to answer questions and provide context.

Planetarium doors open at 5 PM. The impact is expected to take place at 6:14 PM.
