WE REMEMBER: WREATH LAYING CEREMONY WITH GUEST SPEAKER ANDREW CARD

Thursday, September 11, 2025 | 9:30 a.m.

A native Peorian, Charles "Chip" Chan was one of the nearly 3,000 people lost in the tragic events of September 11, 2001. He was the beloved son to Julia and John Chan, one of five brothers, and a recent graduate of the University of Illinois College of Commerce and Business Administration. At 23 years old, he had just moved to New York City to begin a position at the World Trade Center.

On the anniversary of this historic loss for our country, former chief of staff to George W. Bush, Andrew Card will speak at a wreath laying at the Peoria Riverfront Museum, as we honor those lost, their loved ones who live with the loss, and hold together the collective grief of our country on this day.
