    Sat, Oct 6 | 6 PM

    Sun, Oct 7 | 4 PM

Discover the mysteries in the map of Dante’s Inferno and the secrets of the most restless artist of the Renaissance.

For centuries, the map of Hell (“Inferno” in Italian) lay locked up in the Vatican vaults. But what prompted the Florentine master, known for paintings such as “The Birth of Venus” and "Primavera" – to draw and paint hell as the poet Dante described it? What is the secret behind this extraordinary work of art? And in what way does it reveal the lesser-known, darker side of Botticelli?

Shot around Europe in exclusive locations such as the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, the Vatican Library, London, Berlin and the Scottish lowlands, Botticelli: Inferno takes viewers on a journey to the underworld through the 9 circles of Hell, to reveal the secrets of one of the world's most famous works of art.

The Cosmos in a Heartbeat by Dr. Shane Larson

    Fri, Nov 9 | 7:30 pm

    Dome Planetarium

A human lifetime is more than a hundred billion times shorter than the current age of the Universe. Whether you are a professional astronomer, or a casual backyard stargazer, you have only a few decades to drink it all in—to wonder how it works and how you got here.

The cosmos is full of strange happenings that we sometimes are lucky enough to witness because we happened to be paying attention to the stories the Universe is telling us. These tales are carried on bursts of light, showers of subatomic particles, and the faint whisperings of gravity, and every day that passes, we’re getting better at deciphering them.

In our lifetimes, we will only ever have a glimpse of the cosmos. But that glimpse is enough to transform our perceptions in dramatic ways and to answer the oldest questions we have about what the Universe is doing all around us.

    Family friendly, all ages welcome!
