Warning, you may never think of T. rex the same way again!
T. rex: The Ultimate Predator presents the most scientifically accurate model of Tyrannosaurus rex to date, including plumage, featuring life-size feathered replicas of the world’s most iconic dinosaur, from a fluffy hatchling to city-bus-sized adult. Although the mega-predator could crush prey with a 7,800-pound bite force, research finds that it was also very smart and sensitive. The exhibition’s interactive features provide fun encounters for all ages, including the T. rex “roar mixer,” a skeleton shadow theater and a full-sized animated T. rex that responds to movements. “T. rex: The Ultimate Predator” comes directly to Peoria from creator American Museum of Natural History, NYC – the “Night at the Museum” museum – which discovered the original T. Rex, AMNH 5027, in 1902 (see a replica in the exhibition)!
