Jim Carballido, CPA, is a retired manager of business information at Caterpillar, where he worked for more than 25 years overseeing information and analysis.
Carballido collects pre-prohibition Peoria breweriana and baseball artifacts and helped support the museum’s “American Spirits: The Rise and Fall of Prohibition exhibition.” Carballido spearheaded the museum-led production of “George,” a national documentary about the legendary owner of George’s Shoeshine and Hatters, George Manias. Carballido is the Peoria Historical Society-appointed representative for the museum and serves on the PHS board.
